He's absolutely gorgeous, as you can see, very well behaved and looks great in scratch mittens. Jo didn't have the easiest of times over the three days she laboured, but a c section saw him safely into the world and they are both doing very well in hospital, probably coming back home on Saturday.
Pictures below show Sam, then my mother holding Sam, then my mother and my mother-in-law cooing over their grandson. To my shame, I don't actually have a picture of Jo with the baby to put up here now (actually Jo would probably prefer me to put pictures of her on the internet in which she isn't still recovering from lots of pain, drugs and sleep deprevation) but I shall rectify that tomorrow.
